HUB CALLSIGN
~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you enter your own callsign and IP address,
NOSINST scans the supplied domain file for information
regarding your local HUB station. If it does this but
fails to fill in the HUB fields for you it means it is
unable to suggest a "probable" HUB in your area. It
doesn't mean there isn't one, just that the
information available at the time of this release has
probably changed.
You should have been given information by your local
IP coordinator about your local HUB. Indeed, your
local HUB sysop may well have issued your address to
you (not an uncommon occurrence since HUBs have
"groups" of addresses associated with them. They can
then keep track of them more reliably).
If you do not have a HUB in your area, then, once you
have gained some experience, you may wish to volunteer
to do the job yourself! (Ask me what it's like first
though... hi!).
If there isn't a local HUB, or if you just don't know,
press <F6> to deselect the "Use Hub" option. This will
allow you to complete the installation but act as a
stand-alone IP user. Later on you can ttylink to
other stations and discuss the situation with them.
With NOSINST you can easily re-install NOS once you
have acquired the extra information you need.
